Concept Testing

Usability tests conducted very early in the product development cycle are known as concept testing. The goal is to help refine the design direction before investing heavily in product development. Usability testing done later in the development cycle is known as User Acceptance Testing.

What We Do

We can conduct concept tests as soon as the initial design can be sketched on paper. With these low-fidelity prototypes, we use techniques like structured interviews and cognitive walkthroughs to identify points where the design differs from the user’s mental model of the system or task.

What You Get

The outcome will provide insight into aspects with good usability (easily understood by the target audience), and aspects that might not be well received, or pose usability pitfalls for the design.
