Information Architecture
Information architecture is a plan to provide information in the most effective manner, usually in the context of documentation, training, or website design.
What We Do
When we develop the information architecture for a website, we start with research -- understanding the goals of the site’s owner, goals of the site’s intended viewers (which may not match the owner’s), and current best practices in delivering and using information in the domain of interest. Then we develop an architecture that meets those requirements in the most effective possible way.
What You Get
The deliverable may include taxonomies, flowcharts, and wire-frames that specify content across a range of delivery mechanisms. The outcome is a tool (website, training piece, etc.) that allows readers to find information quickly.
