Task Analysis
Task analysis is the process of learning about the users of a system by observing their behavior and their work in a realistic setting.
What We Do
There are many techniques that can be applied to accomplish this: contextual inquiry, video diaries, job shadowing, and more. The goal is to understand what users actually do (as opposed to what they say they do), and the environmental, social, and cultural influences on the task of interest.
What You Get
Output can include task or process flow diagrams, fault tree or error tree diagrams, critical path analysis reports, and many more.
